Sr. Purchasing Agent

The Sr. Purchasing Agent is a hybrid role that requires you to be on-site 3-days per week at our Brooklyn, OH office.

Evaluates and directs Business Units in requisitioning and ordering. Guides Business Units to follow Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable processes, policies, and procedures. Works with Business Units, Finance, and Legal on all business, financial, and legal terms to mitigate risk and ensure that the best possible outcome is achieved. (With sourcing)

Responsibilities

• Processes orders through the procurement system. Trains end users on requisitioning and performs any troubleshooting. Maintains and improves product catalogs listed in the procurement system.
• Leads sourcing events (RFQ, RFI, RFP, or direct negotiation), supplier selection, and price / contract negotiation. Communicates results to Business Unit for review and recommendation.
• Supports organizational initiatives such as : Expense Reduction, Efficiency Improvement, Customer Inclusion, and Diversity.
• Participates in the enforcement of all policies, rules, regulations of the organization.
• Conducts market analyses and benchmarking to refine opportunities.
• Maintains the department cohesiveness through meetings to discuss commonality and procedures.
