What You’ll Do:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees all financial operations, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CFO offers strategic guidance, financial forecasting, and financial modeling, while also providing accounting, budgeting, operational, and programmatic support across all organizational activities. As an integral member of the Executive Management Team, the CFO plays a key role in shaping and executing the organization's vision and mission.
- Develops financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and financial systems.
- Provides strategic management of the accounting and finance functions
- Directing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Recommending improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information and financial risks.
- Collaborate with department administrators to align financial goals with operational needs.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the ongoing financial operations of all divisions in the company.
- Lead and mentor accounting department.
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
What You Need For This Job:
- Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take leadership over any business operations area.
- Superlative communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader/
- Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of business operations.
- Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA License preferred
- Must reside in or near Wasilla, Alaska or willing to commute.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
