Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team. This position is a unique opportunity to work in both front-office and clinical settings, providing excellent service to our pediatric and allergy/asthma patients. You will be the first point of contact for patients and families, helping ensure a smooth, welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. Additionally, you will assist with clinical tasks to support our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk/Receptionist Duties:
- Greet patients and families warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries in a timely manner.
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate referrals
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Assist with the management of appointment reminders and follow-up calls.
Medical Assistant Duties:
- Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and recording allergies.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures.
- Prepare and clean exam rooms between patient visits.
- Manage and restock medical supplies as needed.
- Assist with patient education, offering guidance on treatment plans, medication, and care instructions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using medical office software and basic computer systems. Familiarity with Practice Fusion is helpful but not required.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
