Job Description:

Objective: The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating clinical staff and activities at multiple clinics to provide quality, cost-effective care. Will be responsible for establishing/maintaining positive working relationships with community leaders, group leadership, and clinic providers. Will ensure exceptional customer service through monitoring, policy implementation, and patient satisfaction surveys. The Director will assist with staff scheduling; staffing; planning; annual budgets; customer service; new practice integrations, and staff recruiting. Will serve as the lead on value-based care programs, implementation, analytics, and reporting. The Director will also be responsible for safety programs within all MOASD and affiliated facilities.

  • In collaboration with the Director of Operation supervises all clinical staff and others as directed. / Supervises clinical staff of designated and/or assigned clinics
  • Manages daily clinical operations at the assigned clinic(s) and coordinates the daily work activities, staffing, and schedules.
  • Assists physicians with office coverage and other related physician needs related to daily clinical operations
  • Responsible for handling patient inquiries and assisting Operations Manager with overall clinic patient satisfaction
  • Ensures provisions of safe, high-quality patient care by the staff.
  • Works with Director of Operations to implement operational processes to effectively meet standards for all value-based, government-directed, and/or commercially driven healthcare programs and initiatives; responsible for effective reporting of results as required by the program
  • Evaluates performance and recommend candidates for hire, merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
  • Ensures that all clinical business functions are operative and that all processes are effectively and efficiently in place. Identifies and implements process improvement changes. Creates goals for clinic operations and ensures that these goals are in line with organizational goals.
  • Maximizes opportunities to manage clinical operating costs.
  • Works closely with Providers and MD Partners ensuring all clinical company goals are met.
  • Contributes to the writing and revision of company policies, procedures, job descriptions and competencies etc.
  • Maintains an active and/or leadership role in company projects and initiatives and ensures implementation and integration in clinics.
  • Oversees Regional Safety and Compliance for all governing agents in collaboration with other Managers and Directors to include but not limited to: OSHA, QOPI, PQRS, MIPS, etc.
  • Creates and maintains an environment of trust, integrity, open communication, teamwork, and respect.
  • Works collaboratively with One Oncology vendors, contractors, building maintenance, and others that interact with all clinics.
  • Oversight of direct reports and Performance Excellence Plans.
  • Responsible for mentoring, coaching, and development of direct reports.
  • Brainstorms action planning to improve scores of the Employee engagement survey.
  • Works with managers of all clinics in reviewing and analyzing patient satisfaction and developing clinical action plans for improvement.
  • Has superior skills in building relationships with Providers.
  • Relates well to all types of people using diplomacy and tact in team building.
  • Regularly rounds in clinics to assure high visibility and develop trusting relationships with staff and to ensure validation that changes, and initiatives are fully engrained.
  • Works collaboratively with department directors/leaders to achieve operational/projects initiatives, goals and outcomes.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

  • Knowledge of office management techniques and practices.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply clinic policies and procedures.
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to manage financial information.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree is a plus, but experience is most important.
  • California RN Licensure, Required
  • Clinic management experience is a must.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Previous experience managing multiple locations is strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Great Customer Service Skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology specifically in Oncology/Hematology
  • Previous Oncology/Hematology experience preferred
  • Able to travel to satellite clinics when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
