The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for clinic operations related to customer service, patient check-in/check-out, ensuring accurate and complete information is entered into all systems used by Foot and Ankle Centers of the Rockies, processing payment transactions, scheduling patient appointments, and handling phone inquiries. All employees are expected to maintain professional, ethical, and respectful conduct in line with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
This position requires travel as needed between our Greeley and Longmont offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and with a smile.
- Update and input patient demographics as needed.
- Perform insurance verifications for all patients.
- Display excellent communication skills both on the phone and in person.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as requested by physicians or administration.
- Schedule appointments that accommodate both patients and physicians, and obtain necessary referral information.
- Ensure timely and professional patient check-in and check-out.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and any outstanding balances at check-in.
- Provide outstanding customer service in all interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with all departments within the organization.
- Print necessary documents and forms for new patients as needed.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and submit orders to administration when necessary.
- Ensure the front desk and patient waiting area are clean, organized, and clutter-free at all times.
- Copy medical documents following proper procedures when requested.
- Handle mail, faxes, and routine correspondence.
- Complete bank deposits as required.
- Submit accurate End-of-Day (EOD) reports.
- When checking out patients, ensure all outstanding balances are collected and any Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or services are charged correctly.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations in protecting patient privacy and complying with federal and state laws.
- Perform additional job-related duties and projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
