1099 Medical Device Sales Trauma Instructor (TotalOrtho) Program Atlanta, GA Campus


As a 1099 Medical Device Instructor, you will be delivering either or both on-campus and online education of MSI programs as approved by the state’s licensing requirements. In coordinated effort with the Campus Director, you will ensure positive student experience, and from time to time develop employer relationships, increase student enrollment, participate in student retention, assist in graduate placement, enhance program curriculum, build alumni alliances, and adhere to MSI and state licensing requirements.

TRAINING EXPECTATIONS

  • Deliver technical and sales training to students, including classroom, lab and online utilizing the Canvas platform.
  • Provide training that is consistent with approved didactic and lab requirements in both content and hours.
  • Adhere to scheduled class hours.
  • Participate in Virtual Reality (V/R) training and become familiar with the corresponding headset navigation.
  • Adhere to state licensing requirements to include mandatory class attendance, proctoring exams, entering grades, and Star Rankings.
  • Provide candid and specific feedback to students, including a plan for improvement, when necessary, with focus during week 7 of the program.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Team and other exemplary staff members as necessary.
  • Support student lab experience with industry partners as necessary and rep participation.
  • Additional assignments may be assigned by the Campus Director.

Compliance

  • Ensure school policies are followed in accordance with company Policies and Procedures and State Licensing requirements.
  • Shall not misrepresent the nature of the school, facility, programs, expected outcome of training, salary expectations, etc. in any way, either directly, indirectly, implied or by omissions. Maintain a professional image reflective of MCI at all times.

Skills, Qualifications, and Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years previous relevant experience in orthopedics- spine, extremities, sports medicine, orthopedic reconstruction, trauma, and/or biologics along with medical device sales, management, and/or training.
  • High level of initiative and desire to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Exhibit a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects on time under constantly shifting schedules.
  • Perform a wide range of tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
  • Demonstrate ability to be proactive, exercise independent judgment, and work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with modern technology platforms and tools Canvas, RingCentral, HubSpot, Google Drive and Docs.
  • Proficiency with Apple products, Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Drive).
  • Will not participate in, or accept any form of, incentives or kickbacks from employers.
  • LinkedIn – portray yourself and the company accurately and maintain consistent utilization.

Compensation

  • $200 per completed solo teaching day (3 days Tues - Thurs or $600 per week) of online classroom instruction. Estimated daily instructional time - 90 minutes
  • $500 per completed solo teaching day of Week 10 in person classroom instruction. Estimated daily instructional time - 8 hours
  • Contractor training, leading up to solo training as an Online Campus Instructor, will be paid at: $200/training session which includes webinars and V/R training. Estimated training session - 90 minutes
