Job Description
Medical Services of America seeks an experienced Full-Time Area Vice President of Operations to cover South Carolina (State Wide) (SC) .
Oversees and directs the agency leadership to effectively provide day to day guidance and leadership as it relates to operations according to approved policies, procedures and standards. Maintains the image of the agency in the communities the agency serves and in state and national organizations.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Oversees the overall operation of all programs of the agency.
- Communicates needs of operation effectively to the governing body, professional advisory group, and professional and business staff.
- Manages, counsels, and disciplines direct report staff in company goals are not consistently met.
- Develops, implements, and adheres to the operating budgets. Monitors budgets and coaches agency leadership in areas requiring improvement.
- Ensures fiscal success of the agency by meeting the budgeted financial goals set forth by the Board of Directors
- Makes operational decisions based on sound financial judgment; balancing excellent patient outcomes, team needs, and positive financial results.
- Coach, develop, manage and assess Administrators, identifying performance level and development plan for each
- Participates in recruiting and selection process for key positions.
- Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained, and all staff are qualified and educated.
- Temporarily performs in the capacity of an Agency Administrator as the need arises.
Qualifications and Skills
Degree of Travel – Moderate travel related to marketing, public relations, site visits, and home visits. Degree of Disruption to Routine,
Overtime – Required to be available as need arises. Frequent disruption to routine. High level of flexibility required. Long hours are to be expected.
