What will your job look like?
The Manager, Operations handles timely completion of the day-to-day tasks of the team through staff management and program oversight for all regional work in the New York office. The Manger, Operations will coordinate with the General Manager on complaints management, Network Management Operations, and the implementation of short and long-term strategic processes by partnering with other MTM departments. The Manager, Operations serves as a primary point of contact for day-to-day application of organizational policies and procedures, and is responsible for monitoring department programs for cost effectiveness. This position will act as the front line representative for the team in the absence of the General Manager.

What you’ll do:
- Actively seek opportunities for departmental process improvement initiatives; implementing best practices to maximize efficiencies
- Assist General Manager with compiling department metrics
- Manage data by identifying and ensuring compliance with process for changing key data
- Ensure all program contractual requirements are being performed accurately and consistently to ensure ongoing compliance
- Provide General Manager with correspondence, assistance and feedback for departmental strategic planning sessions and for the development of new/revised procedures
- Ensure all required reports and assignments are submitted timely and accurately
- Monitor upcoming workload and recommend course of action necessary to meet demands
- Assist departments in making sure all team members follow MTM’s documented policies
- Partner with People & Culture to maintain required staffing levels through timely recruitment and training of qualified candidates
- Provide employee development through motivation, constructive feedback, coaching, training, and applying mentorship techniques
- Provide day to day guidance to all team members
- Maintain schedules and time and attendance for direct reports, including approval/denial of time off requests
- Assist Workforce Management in resolving any time and attendance issues
- Ensure departmental policies are followed and staff attends mandatory training sessions
- Attend and represent MTM in unemployment hearings involving direct reports
- Ensure ongoing collaboration with all internal and external partners to ensure effective processes are in place and in line with corporate goals
- Assist departments in ensuring all team members respond promptly and courteously to external and internal contact and complaints
- Maintain and project to team members a positive attitude when dealing with internal and external personnel
- Respond to all client requests within one business day
- Manage dotted line responsibilities with Managers at the corporate office
- Ensure good working relationships with high levels of communication amount office staff, MTM departments, Clients, stakeholders, and other vendors working within defined contracts
- Adhere to MTM and contract specific established protocols and policies
- Demonstrate sincere personal commitment to reliability and quality of work
What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years of experience in operations and management of staff
- Experience developing, promoting, and building key relationships with all key stakeholders
- Experience supervising and monitoring the delivery of contractual services
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of people and job positions
- Knowledge of managed care and quality improvement
- Experience establishing key processes and procedures
- Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of MTM operations
- Strong data analysis, interpretation skills, and problem solving skills
- Ability to schedule, organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of budgets and cost analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle questions and resolve issues in a constructive manner
- Moderate to advanced computer skills

- Previous experience in the transportation industry, preferred
- Prior project or contract management experience, preferred
- Previous experience working with Medicaid and/or State programs, preferred

Salary Min: $66,560/ annually
Salary Max: $85,000/ annually
