What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE | Day Shift position at MEDICAL WEST HOSPITAL AUTHORITY?
The Physical Therapist Aide assists the Physical Therapist or Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) with patient care as directed; transports and transfers patients safely; cleans, distributes, and retrieves wheelchairs; maintains equipment and treatment areas in a clean and orderly manner; picks up equipment and supplies; assists with modalities under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist or LPTA; supports departmental policies and operations; communicates with patients, families, and staff members; and performs special projects as assigned. Responds to the unique needs of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
