Medicate Pharmacy is looking for a dependable Certified Pharmacy Technician. This candidate would work between all of our locations, East St. Louis, Washington Park, Granite City, Cahokia Heights, IL and at our new Belleville, IL location we are aiming to open mid year 2025.
This person will be process and fill prescriptions in a retail pharmacy environment. We are looking to hire someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and likes to work in a fast paced environment. Having outstanding patient care is a large part of the job requirement. We will train this person on our software and policies to ensure they are equipped with all the proper tools and knowledge needed to do their job well.
This job has many important responsibilities. Having excellent communication skills to work with your supervisor and co-workers is a must.

Responsibilities
- Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening
- Greet customers in person and by phone and answer their questions
- Receive prescriptions and check their validity
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
- Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
- Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
- Sort, stock, label medication, and monitor inventory
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards
Skills
- Time management and proper attendance
- Proven experience as pharmacy technician
- Experience with an online prescription system is a plus
- Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Reliable with a keen eye for detail
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician program
- Certified Pharmacy technician is preferred
This is a full time position Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:30PM with some Saturday availability 9:00AM-2:00PM if interested.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
