Seeking IT Desktop Support Technician to support our small to medium sized business clients. Looking for candidates with great verbal experience, awesome troubleshooting experience, and a current knowledge of typical business IT needs. Candidate must also be able to keep a steady persona in stressful time-sensitive situations always remembering to “think of themselves as a customer” and be able to ask themselves “is that something I would want to hear as a customer?” This position will primarily be an office position with occasional travel to client locations within 75 miles. In many cases, a company vehicle is provided. Must have valid state driver's license and be insurable with an acceptable driver record. The position is otherwise known as a “helpdesk” technician according to industry standards.
Requirements :
High School Diploma is required. Candidate must also have at least 1 year experience at same employer with many or all of the following responsibilities :
Responsibilities :
Support Desktops, tablets, smartphones, apps, printers, connectivity, antivirus, etc.
Proficient with support via remote control, remote assistance, remote upgrades / updates
Ability to understand / troubleshoot MS updates / configuration for desktops / devices
Experience with Backup review / configuration - desktops, servers & other devices
An understanding of disaster readiness testing
Basic support / troubleshooting / installation for IP phones, configurations & basic changes to existing configurations
Desktop update / upgrade
Desktop deployment / configuration management
Assist with server tasks as delegated by OPS MGR for ongoing skill development & exposure
Proficiency in all support consoles (SolarWinds Dashboard, O365, AppRiver, as examples)
Anti-virus / cyber security for workstations & devices
Medical audit compliance / HIPAA
