Overview
Charge RN - Surgery (Operating Room) at Providence St Vincent Medical Center. This position has multiple FTE and shifts.
$10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Administer injections, IV medications, and perform IV insertions as required during surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgical process, providing immediate interventions when necessary.
- Assist in the positioning of patients on the operating table to ensure optimal access for surgical teams.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and managing surgical instruments effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (Cerner, Athenahealth) to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide post-operative care and education to patients and their families regarding recovery processes and potential complications.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- RN license in state of hire and wherever care is provided upon hire.
- 1 year nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
