What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Supervisor position at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Kitchen Supervisor, with direction from the Food Services Manager assists with managing the kitchen facility to assure that the meal presented to guests is prepared accurately, and in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with overseeing the preparation and cooking of pre-selected menu
- Assists the Food Services Manager with assuring the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards
- Assists with training the staff on and adherence to proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques
- Assists the Food Services Manager with the scheduling and timekeeping procedures of Kitchen Staff
- Performs related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holiday as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required
- 3 years food preparation experience
- 1 -2 years supervisory experience preferred
