qualifications:
Facility with less than 120 beds
License/Certification/Registration:
In accordance with state laws and regulations.
Continuing Education:
As required by state laws and regulations.
Education: At lease a high school diploma, two years or more of college preferred and the education required by state laws and regulations.
Experience: At least two years of experience as a social worker preferred. Health care, human services, public relations, social services, marketing and marketing research.
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and directing the admissions process in a skilled nursing facility. Also, 2 apartment complexes on-site and off-site.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Manage on-site and off-site apartment complexes.
2. Manage and update online social media platforms (facebook, websites)
3. Manage inquiry process.
4. Handle inquiry calls from hospitals, families, etc., and provide appointments that include a tour or the facility or apartment complexes.
5. Maintain updated bed ability and facility services information.
6. Makes sales calls outside the facility to medical, insurance, legal and financial professionals, senior organizations, appropriate special interest group, hospital discharge planners and other community contracts.
7. Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations as well as continued stay authorizations.
8. Compile and distribute admission papers.
9. Ensure all papers are properly filled out and input into system.
10. Create facility materials such as press releases, brochures, and advertisements.
11. Maintain a working knowledge of Federal and state regulations and reimbursement.
12. Help expedite admissions process for emergencies.
13. Build and maintain relationships with hospital accounts.
14. Perform sales and marketing campaigns.
15. Maintain knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
16. Report all admissions for quarterly QA.
17. Work with nursing and housekeeping staff to maintain knowledge of number or beds available.
18. Inform housekeeping staff of empty rooms and have them cleaned.
19. Maintain relationships with legal and financial professionals, senior organizations, assisted living and senior housing facilities, appropriate special interest groups, churches and other community contacts.
20. Participate in meetings to alert appropriate staff members of projected admissions, room changes, discharges and appointments/tours.
21. Communicate special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transition.
22. Assist with Medicaid application process and submission for residents as appropriate.
23. Medical documentation in EHR as appropriate.
24. Ensure all required nursing home prescreens are completed prior to resident’s advance directives completion.
25. Assist with advance directives completion.
26. Participate in State and Federal survey process.
27. Initiate / maintain hospice contracts, referral completion for new admissions.
28. Coordination of VA services for new admissions / readmissions.
29. On call for admissions / referrals as needed, including during off hours / non-business hours.
30. Cover for Social Services as needed.
31. Responsible for annual resident contract updates, mailings and ensuring all residents have current contract completed in a timely manner.
32. Ability to follow Resident’s Rights policies at all times.
33. Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm, effective manner.
34. Ability to follow fire and disaster procedures during a drill and actual occurrence.
35. Ability to accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
36. Ability to assume accountability for all data contained in the employees’ handbook.
37. Ability to perform other related duties as directed by the administrator.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
