Job Title: Accounting Intern
Reports to: Controller
Rate: $18/hr
Hours: 20-30 hours per week
Timeframe: April – September 2025

Job Summary:
Medinah Country Club has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Intern who is looking to learn and grow both in a challenging and educational environment. This position will be exposed to a wide variety of Accounting and Finance operations and be responsible for important work within our organization. This opportunity includes working with a supportive, experienced team, who are committed to professional and personal growth. This role will prepare you for a successful future beyond this internship. We offer flexibility in your daily schedule when needed, and a balanced workload.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Accounts Payable Specialist with:
- Distributing invoices to proper departments
- Reconciling monthly statements from vendors for completeness
- Managing expense reporting spreadsheets
- Balancing retail inventory accounts
- Learning and performing month end closing procedures
- Assist Accounts Receivable Specialist with:
- Maintaining Event Income spreadsheet
- Bank reconciliation
- Learning and performing month end closing procedures
- Organizing and upkeep of daily member receipts
Education and Experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program (open to Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors)
- Must possess a positive team-first attitude, desire to help others, and have a strong work ethic
- Ability to organize, manage time, multi-task, and problem solve
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Excel experienced preferred but not required
- Willingness to assist other departments as necessary
