Project Manager - Healthcare, Health Plan, Mergers & Acquisitions
Remote - PST/MST Preferred
Contract - 6 Months
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for guiding our business units through the necessary preparations for the integration of a newly acquired client. This role will involve facilitating communication, identifying key dependencies and gaps, supporting process documentation, and assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the healthcare or insurance landscape, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various business units to understand their current processes and prepare them for the onboarding of a new Delta Dental client.
- Facilitate discussions to identify gaps in processes, roles, and responsibilities
- Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document existing and new processes.
- Support the development of test cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assist business SMEs in the execution of UAT.
- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to relevant stakeholders, including managers and supervisors across Finance, Eligibility, Operations, Claims, and Customer Service.
- Contribute to the development and adjustment of processes and workflows as needed based on the integration requirements.
- Operate independently and proactively to drive project tasks forward.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 7 years of Project Management experience within the health plan or insurance industry.
- Proven experience working within a mature Project Management Office (PMO) environment and understanding established project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively without close supervision.
- Experience in supporting the development and implementation of business processes and workflows.
Preferred:
- Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) or organizational integration projects within healthcare.
- Strong understanding or familiarity with healthcare benefits, configuration, eligibility, and claims processes.
- Experience with tools such as Smart Sheets, Sharepoint, and Microsoft Project Management tools.
Salary : $55 - $60
