One of Medix's healthcare clients is hiring for a hybrid remote Director of Telecommunications. It is a direct hire position.

Position Info - Day to day responsibilities/understanding of the project this person is being hired on to do

• Manage all supervisory duties within the IT department, including addressing employee-related matters.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are upheld by all employees as a member of the management team.
• Oversee and track incoming incidents and requests through the ticket management system, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
• Represent the company in a professional and polished manner at all times.
• Foster and maintain productive and professional relationships with colleagues and all levels of management.
• Offer guidance and promote cross-departmental collaboration with contact center leadership and others to ensure that call flow designs deliver a top-tier patient experience while adhering to established standards.
• Define IT objectives in line with the broad direction set by executive management, providing essential technical leadership and project management to ensure the continuity of computer services.
• Forecast project costs, as well as the necessary equipment and personnel requirements for MIS operations.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends in MIS technology, maintaining a high level of technical expertise across all facets of data processing, and striving to enhance user productivity through the adoption of new software and policies that maximize the use of MIS resources.
• Develop both short-term and long-term plans for application selection, systems development, and securing resources needed for their implementation, ensuring these plans align with corporate objectives.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with contractors and equipment vendors.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related discipline

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with Telecommunications
• At least 5 years of experience working with major contact center platforms, including AI
• At least 5 years of experience supporting content management systems or web experiences
• A minimum of 8 years of prior management experience
• Advanced expertise in designing and implementing core corporate systems
• Healthcare experience is an added advantage

Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, create business cases, and implement them within a matrixed organization.
• Proficient in developing both technical and non-technical requirements and delivering them to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the vision.
• Capable of managing projects and initiatives with a focus not only on "what" is delivered but also on "how" it is achieved, demonstrating both aspects clearly.
• Experience with contact center technologies such as Five9, Genesys, NICE, Google, or similar CCaaS solutions.
• Proven leadership in driving transformational change and innovation, balancing these initiatives with budget considerations.
