Position OverviewWe're seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with exceptional Figma skills to join our team for a summer internship with the possibility of equity compensation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience designing enterprise software while working directly with our Product Manager and development team.
Duration & Time Commitment- May 1st - August 31st, 2025
- 5-15 hours per week (highest time commitment during initial planning phase)
- Remote work with regular team collaboration sessions
- Create intuitive user interfaces for our healthcare client portal
- Design responsive layouts that work across multiple devices
- Develop interactive prototypes demonstrating key user flows
- Collaborate with Product Manager to refine feature requirements
- Convert business requirements into elegant design solutions
- Maintain a consistent design system throughout the application
- Present design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders
- Analyze user feedback data and implement design adjustments accordingly
- Participate in user testing sessions and iterate designs based on findings
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including:
- Component creation and management
- Auto-layout and constraints
- Interactive prototyping
- Design system implementation
- Collaborative editing workflows
- Version history management
- Variables and design tokens
- Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design for web applications
- Understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG guidelines)
- Knowledge of responsive design principles
- Excellent visual design sensibilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and iterate designs
- Experience interpreting user feedback and translating it into design improvements
- Experience with healthcare or enterprise software design
- Knowledge of design handoff tools (Zeplin, Abstract, etc.)
- Understanding of design research methodologies
- Familiarity with frontend development concepts
- Previous work with design systems
- Experience with user testing and feedback analysis tools
