Catholic Musician Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be for one (1) Base Year of 12 months and four (4) 12-month option years with a possible six (6) month extension.

Work Hours

• Weekly Mass Services are held on Sundays at 9:15 a.m.
• Rehearsals are scheduled for a maximum of 52 weekly sessions and are to be coordinated with the Chapel.
• Practices and rehearsals, if conducted on Fort McCoy, are to occur between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Monday through Saturday, except on federal holidays.
• Special Services occur on dates to be determined and can include up to 18 services per year.
• Special Services dates are provided no later than three calendar days prior to the required service date
• Must attend all scheduled services with no more than two absences per year.
• Arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled services and remain 5 minutes after the benediction.
• Attend and contribute to planning and coordination meetings (6 units annually).
• Shall arrive at the service location no later than (NLT) 30 minutes prior to the service start time.

Qualifications:

• Shall provide a resume to the Contracting Officer and documentation to substantiate personal qualifications and spiritual understanding of church music, determined by a history of working specifically in development of musical worship plans.
• Shall perform traditional and/or liturgical style music.
• Shall possess experience as a musician in religious worship settings, with sufficient [2 years] experience playing musical instruments (piano, keyboard, organ, etc...) in appropriate music style (traditional and/or liturgical) at public worship services, working with and synchronizing with small musical ensembles/choirs.

Pay: $24.26 - $28.52 per hour
