Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical nursing and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgical procedures.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist in the administration of medications and monitor patients' vital signs during surgery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide comprehensive care, including pre-operative assessments and post-operative evaluations.
- Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and assist in laboratory procedures as required.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
Requirements
- 2 years current OR experience
- Scrub experience preferred. Those RN's with circulate and scrub experience will receive first consideration
- General, Ortho, Neuro, Urology, Vascular and Bariatric Surgical experience required
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred .
- BLS
- MA State RN license
