Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201
Duration: 13 Weeks Assignment
Schedule Hours: 36 Hrs
Shift: Days 5x8 Hours (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP
Required:
· 2 years of RN OR Experience – Required.
· Scrub experience preferred. Those RN's with circulate and scrub experience will receive first consideration
· RN MA State License
· General, Ortho, Neuro, Urology, Vascular and Bariatric Surgical experience required
· Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
· BLS from AHA.
· Covid card
· Traveler must have their own vehicle.
Summary
As an RN OR Circulator, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the surgical team and providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. Reporting to the surgical supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in patient assessment, IV insertion, and basic life support, while your premium skills in critical care and familiarity with EHR systems like Meditech will enhance your effectiveness. Your role will involve collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals in bariatric and urology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions in the operating room, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare for and assist during procedures, particularly in urology and bariatric surgeries.
- Administer IV medications and maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems like Meditech.
- Provide basic life support as needed and ensure compliance with BLS certification standards.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments pre- and post-surgery to facilitate optimal recovery.
