Responsibilities:
- Opening & Closing the clinic in line with the procedures set forth in our Front Office Manual.
- Greets and assists patients with check in, appointment scheduling, and a variety of other requests with a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Collets co-pays, balances and self-pay amounts and posts them to the correct place within the Athena EMR
- Confirm patient insurance, demographic and contact information.
- Prepares for next day appointments by printing forms, verifying insurance eligibility and scanning items into patient charts.
- Works as a team player to problem solve and resolve issues that may arise on the job when necessary.
- Manages time effectively, works quickly and accurately to keep the clinic workflow and operation in a fast paced environment.
- Provides administrative support for the clinic as needed.
- Answers phone calls and returns voicemails timely.
- Maintains an organized, friendly and prepared environment at the front office at all times.
- Complies with HIPAA policies and procedures to maintain secure patient confidentiality.
