We seek a proactive and engaging X-ray tech who is passionate about working with a best-in-class team that delivers first-class medical care to individuals and families.
License/Certification Requirements:
- Must have completed an accredited Radiologic Technologist program in the USA.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) before the start date.
- Must have a state radiology license (if applicable) before the start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. BLS certification is available at MedRite, if not currently certified.
- Energetic personality and previous Radiologic Technologist experience in a fast-paced and high-patient volume clinical setting is preferred.
- Willing to travel between centers within a particular region/district if needed.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality X-rays on all patient types and age groups under the guidance of a physician and according to pre-established standards and protocols.
- Prepare each patient for all X-ray exams by providing precise and concise instructions, position patients with care for each radiographic view, move the X-ray machine in the appropriate position and adjust technique based on the body part of interest and body habitus.
- Protect patients and employees from unnecessary radiation exposure by adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and radiation safety (e.g., lead shielding).
- Maintain x-ray equipment according to manufacturer and company policies to ensure optimal operation, such as performing quality checks and keeping records in appropriate system(s) (e.g., logbooks).
- Assist with medical assistant tasks such as managing patient flow, taking patient vitals, and conducting selected point-of-care diagnostic tests and functions relevant to leadership responsibilities (e.g., motivating center staff, monitoring the quality of patient experiences, etc.)
- Work together with center staff and other team members from nearby locations, including the corporate office.
- Obtain, verify, and document all relevant patient information in respective systems (e.g., RIS, PACS, & EMR).
- Part-time Weekends
Pay rate between $40-$45 per hour
