What are the responsibilities and job description for the TCGRx Pharmacy Technician position at MedScript LTC Pharmacy?
MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Automation Technician to join our team! This position qualifies for a $2,000 sign-on bonus!
The available shifts are:
- Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm with every fourth rotating weekend
- Mon-Fri 9:30am-6pm with every fourth rotating weekend
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and rules related to Long Term Care pharmacy. The role for the Pharmacy Automation Technician is to assist in pulling and filling medications for our residents using Parata/TCGRx automation and other methods as needed. The Pharmacy Automation Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently filling medication orders and preparing medication for delivery by following proper procedures. We ensure the highest quality standards of practice for our long term care facilities.
Primary Duties:
- Retrieve medications from stock and fill medication orders using Parata/TCGRx automation system
- Correct TCGRx packets and package final product for distribution to facilities
- Perform basic troubleshooting for TCGRx automation system
- Follow established inventory procedures and manage out-of-stock issues
- Identify quality related errors and correct these issues as necessary
- Work as a team to meet department goals & deadlines
- Stock supplies as needed
- Other duties and/or projects as required and assigned
Education/Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License OR Active Pharmacy Technician In-Training License Required.
Experience:
- Previous pharmacy experience required.
- Previous TCGRx/Parata experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous Framework experience preferred, but not required.
