Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in patient care.
- Conduct regular in-service training sessions to ensure all nursing staff are up-to-date with the latest practices, protocols, and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other healthcare professionals to create a culture of continuous learning.
- Evaluate staff performance through assessments and provide feedback for improvement.
- Promote best practices in patient care and ensure compliance with nursing home standards and regulations.
- Support the orientation and ongoing professional development of new and existing nursing staff.
- Foster a positive learning environment and encourage staff to pursue additional certifications and education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Active RN license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) setting.
- Proven experience in nurse education or training roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to teach and mentor staff effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices in nursing.
