Endoscopy Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting medical professionals during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques, as well as the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment and instruments for procedures.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations and interventions.
• Ensure a sterile environment by following aseptic techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels throughout the procedure.
• Document procedures accurately in accordance with medical protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the procedure room.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients about the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of medical imaging techniques related to endoscopy.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and its application in clinical settings.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to gastrointestinal anatomy and procedures.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to assist in diagnostic evaluations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
• Previous experience in an endoscopy is required.
