Ambulatory Services- LaFayette is looking for a full-time Program Coordinator.
This position is responsible for coordinating departmental activities
associated with the fair and responsible conduct of patient care coordination,
including performing data collection and management, implementing solutions for
program development, documentation and quality control. Performs data
collection and management, implements interventions and protocol adherence.
Works with an organization that has unique healthcare needs in the community
and require special care coordination. Activities may occur across multiple sites
and also in collaboration with operations, community health operations,
marketing, and quality and safety.
Primary Duties:
Consistently demonstrates support for compliance in the performance of job duties and responsibilities by a) developing and maintaining knowledge of, and performing job functions in compliance with, rules, regulations, policies, and statutes that affect his/her job; b) maintaining knowledge of and performing job functions in compliance with MedStar Health and research policies and procedures; and c) reporting compliance concerns in an appropriate and timely manner.
Coordinates and conducts data extraction from clinical and research databases (e.g., patient safety reporting system, Vizient database, patient satisfaction survey database, others as defined by protocol).
Coordinates protocol implementation and document processing.
Demonstrates behavior consistent with MedStar Health mission, vision, goals, objectives, and patient care philosophy.
Maintains project documentation, track progress on projects, and work with research program director and principal investigators to overcome barriers.
Participates in preparation of literature reviews, proposals, manuscripts, project reports, presentations of study design and findings, and toolkits for dissemination.
Participates in study team meetings and departmental team meetings as appropriate.
Works with the program director and/or the study investigators to develop project data collection forms, surveys, processes and procedures, study manuals, and data analysis and tracking systems.
Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and business unit in community outreach efforts. Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams and maintains effective working relationships with other departments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration or healthcare-related field, Required.
Master’s degree, Preferred.
3-4 years’ Experience in a healthcare setting. Must be highly organized and detail oriented, with excellent time management skills. Must possess strong communication and writing skills and must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Requires a strong working knowledge of MS word, powerpoint, and excel, Required.
Experience in Concierge Medicine, Executive Health, or Sports Medicine, Preferred.
