Position Summary
The DSP is hiring a Program Coordinator to oversee its training and direct service efforts across the United States. The Program Manager will lead our growing organization in developing and delivering safety and security training, products, and programs, both nationally and in states. DSP programs and products will broadly focus on :
Increasing overall security awareness within the progressive ecosystem
Providing training and direct support (proactive and reactive) to campaigns and organizations
Providing best practices and increased awareness around physical and cyber security, privacy, and safely conducting pro-Democracy work both at home and in the workplace
Connecting campaigns and organizations to DSP’s network of security experts and resources
Activating and engaging progressive campaigns and organizations in culturally competent conversations about security and threat assessment
Developing strategies to hold perpetrators of political violence and harassment accountable for their actions
Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will report to the DSP Managing Director, and work to :
Work with DSP team and clients, through both outreach and intake, to customize and deliver safety and security deliverables
Develop, customize, and deliver culturally competent DSP curriculum, training and direct services and collateral materials
Ensure the quality, consistency, timeliness, and excellence in DSP’s deliverables
Scale and continuously update current training programs and direct service deliverables
Identify new and effective ways to deliver curriculum and training that maximizes outcomes
Maintain intake systems, including email and phone inquiries; ensure proper follow up and data collection
Develop and produce metrics and outcomes that evaluate program efficacy on an ongoing basis
Work with DSP staff to schedule trainings, and assign and prepare facilitators
Manage calendar of trainings and other direct services to ensure needs are being met
Lead and coach DSP training facilitators
Other duties as necessary
Skills & Requirements
2 cycles of campaign or organizational training experience or program management
Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills, with the ability to quickly build and manage organizational and individual relationships
Strong written communication skills, with experience in training curriculum development preferred
Proficiency with G-suite and collaborative work tools
Ability to work independently, problem-solve effectively and creatively, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
Proactively fosters an inclusive atmosphere and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence - the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self– in meaningful, relevant, and productive ways
