Manufacturing Engineer
TYPE : Multi-axis CNC turning, milling, grinding, swiss lathe, and medical device manufacturing environment
INDUSTRY : Medical Device
REASON FOR THE OPENING : Open because of growth and company expansion
INCOME : up to $120K
SHIFT : Day shift, first shift
SUMMARY : Core responsibility is to design and modify tools for optimum tool performance and participate in product launches. Lead and coordinate process improvement activities to reduce cost.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE :
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in a CNC or screw machine environment
- Leadership roles; giving guidance, being a team player, and having trained other Associates (not necessarily direct supervision roles)
- Verbal and written communication skills
- AutoCAD or Solidworks
- Advanced knowledge of blueprint, GD&T
- APQP documentation
- CNC machines (must have); knowledge of controllers Fanuc / Seimens, programming with CAM packages, knowledge of CNC turning (up to 5-6 axis), and milling (up to 4-axis)
- Screw machines (highly desired); ACME Gridley knowledge
- For machining : improving cycle times, speeds and feeds, and extending machine life
- CNC grinders (highly desired); knowledge of centerless grinding
- Experience processing, programming and setting up first runs on multi-axis mills or lathes / swiss type lathes.
- CAD / CAM software experience
- Ability to document engineering data, standard work, process sheets, set up instructions.
