Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hourly Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking deliveries made by couriers to our long-term care pharmacy clients across the Midwest. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Salary Range:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Note: Salary based on experience, with potential for growth based on performance and seniority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Courier Schedules: Coordinate daily courier schedules to ensure timely deliveries to various long-term care facilities across the Midwest.
• Monitor Deliveries: Track the progress of deliveries to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries, communicating any delays or issues with both couriers and internal contacts.
• Route Optimization: Plan and adjust routes for maximum efficiency, considering factors like distance, delivery time, and courier availability.
• Customer Service: Act as one of the primary points of contact for couriers and internal staff regarding delivery updates, issues, and inquiries.
• Issue Resolution: Resolve any logistical problems that may arise, such as missed deliveries, route adjustments, or other disruptions in service.
• Data Entry: Accurately log delivery details, route information, and courier activities.
• Coordination with Pharmacy Operations: Work closely with pharmacy staff to ensure medications and supplies are prepared for delivery in a timely manner.
• Monitor Compliance: Ensure that all deliveries adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain Communication Channels: Maintain constant communication with couriers and internal staff providing updates on delivery status, addressing concerns, and ensuring smooth operations.
• Prepare Reports: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing delivery performance, delays, and other key metrics.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in logistics, dispatching, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Strong communication skills and proficiency in using dispatching software or logistics systems.
• Technology: Comfortable using computers, mobile apps, and GPS software for route planning and tracking.
• Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in logistics or transportation management are a plus.
