Director of Sales, Staffing - New York City


We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead sales efforts in temporary staffing, direct hire staffing, and Managed Service Provider (MSP) solutions. This role will oversee a team of 10 sales representatives, driving revenue growth and enhancing client relationships within these segments.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy for temporary staffing, direct hire staffing, and MSP services to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 10 sales representatives, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Partner with Operations/Delivery Teams to fulfill customer needs.
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with potential enterprise clients to understand their staffing needs and deliver customized solutions.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in client organizations, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to align sales strategies with service offerings and market demands.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to senior management.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in staffing solutions and client challenges in the temporary and direct hire markets.


What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 7 years of sales experience with a focus on temporary staffing, direct hire staffing, and MSP services.
  • Proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Able to work projects to completion.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize according to needs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as all levels of staff.
  • Must be self-motivated and ability to work with diverse personalities in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extremely polished and professional.
