Schedule: 182 day contract per school year
Anticipated Start Date: August 11, 2025
Salary: Placement per the teacher contract, based on education and experience.

Other compensation: Mileage reimbursement based on current IRS standard business mileage rate
Position Overview
The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher provides home-based services to children ages birth to two with developmental delays and/or disabilities, as identified through the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. The ECSE Teacher develops and implements individualized, evidence-based instructional plans designed to meet the unique needs of each child and family. This role involves collaborating closely with families to enhance developmental outcomes, interpreting progress, and providing guidance to parents/guardians on strengths, growth areas, and strategies to support continued development.
Key responsibilities include conducting Part C and Part B evaluations, facilitating IFSP and IEP meetings, and ensuring compliance with state and federal due process requirements. The ECSE Teacher maintains accurate and timely documentation, monitors student progress, and actively supports families in understanding and accessing available resources.

MAWSECO is an agency of seven member school districts (Annandale, Dassel-Cokato, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Litchfield, Maple Lake and Rockford) that have joined together to provide services in the area of special education. The mission of the Cooperative is to provide quality special education leadership, services and support to its seven member school districts’ staff, students and families as well as other agencies/districts that purchase its services. The MAWSECO central office is located in Howard Lake, MN which is west of the metro and south of St. Cloud.

Qualfications
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education
- Current State of Minnesota Teacher License in Early Child Special Education
- Valid Minnesota’ Driver’s License
- Experience in teaching children (0 - 5 years of age) with disabilities preferred
- Knowledge and expertise with child development, family-centered services, diagnostic services, early interventions, and diverse populations
- Experience and/or training in positive behavior supports
