Minnesota Valley Cooperative Center is a Special Education Cooperative based in Granite Falls, MN. We provide special education services and assist in hiring hard-to-fill special education positions to our member districts in Southwestern Minnesota.
JOB SUMMARY
The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction and services to children ages birth-six with developmental delays or disabilities. The teacher will collaborate with families, general education staff, community professionals, and other professionals to design and implement IFSPs and IEPs in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide developmentally appropriate instruction based on individual needs in areas such as communication, cognitive, motor, social-emotional, and adaptive skills.
- Develop and implement effective IFSPs and IEPs that address each child's unique needs
- Utilize evidence-based practices and assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction and services as needed.
- Partner with families to support children's development, including conducting home visits if required.
- Work collaboratively with related services providers (e.g., occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists).
- Serve as a resource for general education staff, paraprofessionals, and community agencies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations to determine eligibility for services.
- Maintain accurate records, including assessment data, progress reports, and other required documentation for compliance purposes.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment tailored to meet the needs of young learners with disabilities
- Facilitate transitions from early childhood programs to kindergarten and other educational settings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or ability to obtain one
- Knowledge of IDEA, Minnesota Special Education rules, and early childhood development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional benefits include TRA retirement, a 403(b) match program, and generous leave time. The salary range for a 1.0 FTE (based on qualifications and experience) is $41,837 to $80,788. Please note that this range is based on the current year's figures, as the 2025-2026 contract is yet to be finalized.
