Responsibilities:
Certificates of Compliance (COC):
- Assist in the preparation and processing of Certificates of Compliance (COC) for outgoing shipments, ensuring that all required information is accurately documented and verified.
- Review shipping documentation and product specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Communicate with internal teams, including production and quality control, to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to COC documentation.
Crush Test Documentation:
- Coordinate and document crush tests conducted on fresh cherries and ensure product integrity during shipping.
- Maintain accurate records of crush test results, including test dates, packaging specifications, and any observed defects or damages.
- Assist in analyzing crush test data and identifying trends or patterns to improve packaging quality and minimize shipping-related risks.
Data Entry and Documentation Support:
- Support the shipping department with data entry tasks, including inputting shipment details, tracking numbers, and other relevant information into electronic databases or shipping systems.
- Assist in generating and organizing shipping-related documentation, such as packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels, to accompany outgoing shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of data entry and documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with shipping requirements and customer specifications.
Administrative Assistance:
- Provide general administrative support to the shipping department, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and filing paperwork as needed.
- Assist in coordinating shipping schedules, pickups, and deliveries with carriers and logistics partners.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as warehouse and quality assurance, to coordinate shipping activities and resolve any shipping-related issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or administrative support roles preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software applications.
