Our client, a small but innovative biotech firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment while maintaining a hybrid schedule, with three days per week on-site in New Haven, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Assist with financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
- Partner with internal teams on accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, working with external auditors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
