What will I Do?
You will work for one of Utah’s most recognizable entertainment brands, with a great team, creating lasting memories for our guests!
The Guest Experience Manager is responsible for all areas of operation in the theatre, internal guest service, and the execution of group events held at Megaplex Theatres. This includes responsibilities like ensuring staffing levels are maintained at a fiscally responsible level, ensuring proper accounting procedures are met and sales are accurately recorded, and ensuring all shows start on-time and are meeting all AV standards. This role involves working collaboratively to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests and employees.
Responsibilities Overview
- Act as a representative of Megaplex Theatres at all times in attitude, demeanor, and willingness to provide quality guest service
- Oversee the general operation of all areas in the Cinema Entertainment Center
- Maintain and enforce cleanliness and all health and safety precautions ts
- Ensure proper inventory controls
- Plan, forecast, and track sales patterns
- Maintain an understanding of current digital cinema software platforms
- Communicate and resolve projection concerns
- Ensure cleanliness of the building and public areas
- Supervise and manage full-time and part-time theatre staff
- Develop and guide employees through training and coaching
- May function as the Manager on Duty (MOD)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2 years previous theatre management and/or guest service experience
- Excellent guest service, leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication & organization skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Working knowledge of AV equipment and POS Systems
- Consistently deliver results with minimal supervision
- Willingness to teach staff to prepare them for the next level of responsibility
- High levels of stress will be associated with this position
- Exposed to continuous walking, standing, twisting
- Must be willing to work long hours, weekends and holidays (We’re open 365 days/year; most of our business occurs in the evenings)
What is the wage?
Depending on the theatre location Guest Experience Managers start at $18-23/hour
What are the hours of operation?
Theatre operation hours can be between 6am-2am. We typically have two working shifts: morning and evening. Average morning hours can start between 8am-10am and end around 5pm-6pm. Average evening shifts start between 3pm-6pm. Employees who work evening shifts consistently work until midnight and can sometimes work until 2:00am on busy weekends (or busy Discount Tuesdays!)
