What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workers' Compensation Case Manager position at Meggesto Crossett & Valerino?
MCV Law has been helping the local community for over 40 years as a proud resource in workers' compensation, personal injury, and social security disability law. Due to current, as well as projected growth, MCV Law is hiring for a motivated, client-oriented Case Manager to join our Workers’ Compensation Team working in the Syracuse, NY office. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver who is willing to go the extra mile and advocate for our clients. This is an in-office position, with hours of Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Phone intake of new cases
- Preparation of retainer documents
- Meeting with clients to discuss retainers and other documents
- Complete requests for hearings, medical records from providers, and other documents, as needed
- Follow-up with medical providers,
- Consistent phone and email contact with clients, transcription
- Assistance with case strategy and deposition coordination
- Ensure accurate correspondence and legal documents are send to the Workers’ Compensation Board, medical providers, insurance carriers, and other law offices.
Qualifications:
- Excellent telephone etiquette and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft suite experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and respond to clients and inquiries quickly and efficiently
- Passion for helping people, ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Prior experience in Workers’ Compensation is preferred but not required.
