What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Meharry Medical College?
Meharry Community Wellness Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position at its satellite clinic, the First Response Center. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Board-certified Nurse Practitioner. They will be will be responsible for triaging patients, administration of injectables, collection and processing of biological specimens for laboratory testing, entering lab results and clinical notes in Electronic Health Record.
Daily Operation
- sThe LPN/RN will demonstrate clinical competence in assessment, diagnostic reasoning, phlebotomy, and administration of injectables
- .The LPN/RN will apply standard operating procedures in implementing therapies that restore health, minimize complications, and manage risk factors
- .Participate in performance improvement, data collection, and program reports
- .Attend mandatory staff meetings and continuing education activities
