What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager - Meharry Community Engagement Core position at Meharry Medical College?
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with oversight of day-to-day operations of the Meharry Community Engagement Core. The goal of the Core is to equitably partner with community stakeholders to eliminate the disproportionate healthcare and health outcomes experienced by ethnic minorities. Specific Core activities include working with community-based organizations to address their health-related priorities using research, promote and support community participation in all research phases, and disseminate research results to the community.
Daily Operations
- Plan and provide implementation support for all Core meetings
- Assist with all Core marketing efforts
- Assist Core faculty in executing and tracking Core activities and aims
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft office products- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Community outreach/engagement experience
- Content development/management for social media platforms
Required Experience
Completed doctoral degree in a public health, community health, or related scientific field is required.- Prior community engagement and/or community-engaged research experience
- Prior health disparities research-related experience
