How you will make an impact:
As an Advanced Product Solutions Engineer at Meissner, you will play a critical role in supporting sales efforts, both pre-sale and post-sale, while ensuring the best possible customer experience. This will be achieved through the application of technical expertise, project management skills, creative problem-solving, and customer and vendor relationship management. The role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Sales, and Applications Engineering, focusing on understanding and anticipating technical project requirements. This role will be conducting feasibility reviews, assisting in proposal costing estimates, managing product development, documentation, testing customizations, and overseeing technical activities.
The scope of this role primarily includes, but is not limited to, the successful support and implementation of products such as CryoVault®, AccuFill, AccuFlux®, mixing systems, retrofits, and more.
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical queries, acting as a liaison between customers, Sales/Business Development, and other internal Meissner teams to provide pre-sale and post-sale support.
- Maintain timely communication with customers and internal teams, adhering to established service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Participate in pre-sale meetings and discussions with potential customers, anticipating technical project needs and risks while managing expectations. Provide technical presentations, both at Meissner and customer sites, to support sales efforts.
- Collaborate with product development engineers to conduct feasibility evaluations for specialized applications and requested customizations, including products, documentation, and testing. Establish and conduct design of experiments (DOE) and testing as necessary.
- Review and contribute to User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and Detailed Design Specifications (DDS).
This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.
The skills and experience youll need:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Manufacturing.
- Minimum of 3 years as a Pharma/Bio-Pharma Process or Validation Engineer, with expertise in capital equipment selection, procurement, installation, and validation. Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment such as mixing, freezing, filling, and filter integrity testing is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practices (GAMP5), FDA process/equipment validation, and SOP writing.
- Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or ClickUp is preferred. Experience with SharePoint is highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to manage complex, high-value projects with tight timelines, including effective communication with customers and vendors.

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
