If you are excited about our mission and passionate about our values, weseek an experienced Executive Chef for our Kapolei, Oahu restaurant. Thequalified applicant should have extesive practice as a productive, organized,and caring leader for our high-volume kitchen. You should be confident inbuilding, developing, and maintaining enthusiastic teams. Preferably, you area current Oahu or Hawaii resident and have 1 or more years of culinaryexperience. We are looking for a proficient ChefAsst. Kitchen Manager.Mexican cuisine experience is helpful. Competitive pay with tipping poolincluded.
Desired Responsibilities :
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Help in staffing the kitchen and managing the team
Help to arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs and weeklymonthlydeep cleans
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Fluent in best practices food control, including daily temp checks and linechecks for ampm shifts
Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipalregulations that pertain to health, safety, cleanliness, and laborrequirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
Skills
Proven working experience as a lead line cookasst kitchen manager
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office,restaurant management software, POS)
Experience with traditional Mexican Food preferred
Fun-loving, hard-working, and good-natured.
