Job Opening: Part-Time Beauty PR Intern
Location: NYC Hybrid at our Flatiron office (2-3 in-office days required)
Salary Range: $20-$25/hour
Melander Marketing & Communications is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Beauty PR Intern to join our team. This is a part-time position where you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the team with a range of exciting projects, including media relations, influencer marketing, event planning, and administrative tasks. If you’re passionate about beauty and looking to dive into the fast-paced world of PR, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day tasks including media monitoring, reporting, and coordinating gifting and shipping.
- Maintain and update media and influencer databases.
- Conduct ongoing research, including competitive insights and trend reporting.
- Assist with event support, helping execute memorable beauty events and activations.
- Draft written materials such as pitches, weekly reports, and social media content.
Experience:
- A genuine passion for the beauty industry, with a strong knowledge of trends, influencer marketing, and social media.
- 1-2 years of PR experience, with a focus on beauty being a major plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized and creative with a knack for problem-solving.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a remote team.
- Ability to support in-person events and meetings in New York City.
