Job Title: Inventory Manager
Job Description:
As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, compliance, and regulatory adherence in the cannabis industry. You will work closely with the operations manager, various departments, and external agencies to ensure our processes and procedures meet the highest standards of compliance. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in QA/QC monitoring, enforcement of best practices, and the implementation of company-issued SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
· Maintain accurate inventory records of cannabis products, raw materials, and supplies.
· Implement inventory control measures to prevent discrepancies and ensure efficient stock levels.
· Utilize Microsoft Excel skills to create and manage detailed inventory reports.
· Provide training and guidance to staff regarding compliance procedures, best practices, and SOPs.
Data Tracking and Reporting:
· Manage and maintain compliance with the Metrc tracking system, ensuring all required data is accurate and up to date.
· Generate Metrc reports and reconcile them with internal records
· Utilize these platforms to maintain accurate records, monitor inventory levels, and facilitate regulatory compliance.
· Collaborate with the Management team to ensure proper integration of Dutchie, our e-commerce platform, for inventory management and sales tracking.
· Prepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including production metrics and team performance, to senior leadership.
Compliance and Regulation:
· Stay up to date with CCC and state regulations related to cannabis inventory and compliance.
· Implement and enforce compliant practices throughout the organization.
QA/QC Monitoring and Enforcement:
· Develop and implement QA/QC procedures to maintain product quality and safety.
· Enforce best practices and company-issued SOPs to ensure consistent quality standards.
· Conduct regular internal audits to identify and rectify compliance issues.
Collaboration:
· Work closely with the operations manager to develop and implement organizational structure, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and processes.
· Collaborate with the cultivation, post-harvest, and packaging departments to ensure adherence to compliant practices.
· Work closely with facility management to ensure quality standards are met and compliance is maintained.
Retain effective and constant communication with all management to maintain standards and accountability.
General and Physical Requirements:
· Per MA state regulations, qualified candidates must be at least 21 years of age, qualified to work in the US, and able to pass a background check may disqualify candidates based on MA state marijuana licensing regulations.
· Ability to sit or stand for long periods. Ability to repeat the same task for long periods of time.
· Must be able to obtain a MA state-issued Registered Agent Card.
· Must meet the physical constraints of the job. This role is labor intensive.
· Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 75 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
· Must be able to work with raw cannabis flower.
· Moderate to loud exposure to noise level will be experienced.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
· Proven experience in inventory management, compliance, or regulatory affairs, ideally within the cannabis industry.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
· Familiarity with METRC tracking system and Dutchie e-commerce platform is a plus.
· Strong knowledge of CCC and state cannabis regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
