Overview
The Mellwood Art Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant who is energetic, organized and outgoing to join our team. The Administrative Assistant will work with our Events Manager and Leasing Manager to provide essential administrative support as we serve our event customers, artists and small business tenants. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is equipped to do social media marketing, basic graphic design and simple website content updates.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones, email, voicemail
- Assist walk-in clients as needed
- Work within our event management software and property management software
- Schedule and give tours of event rooms and studio spaces as needed
- Post to social media several times per week
- Manage online reviews
- Create event signage and update printed materials
- Make content updates to website
- Other office tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) is required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities are essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in clerical work or customer support is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
