Melody Lane Dance Music & Drama Academy is searching for dedicated and enthusiastic Dance Instructors to join our community and help our students shine both in and outside the studio. If you have a love for teaching, a passion for dance, and a desire to empower young artists, we want to hear from you!
Your Role:
As a Dance Instructor at Melody Lane, you will play a key role in inspiring students to explore and develop their passion for dance. Whether you're teaching beginners or advanced students, you'll have the opportunity to shape their confidence, discipline, and love for the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes in your area(s) of expertise (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, etc.).
- Execute lesson plans that are already written and produced for lower-level classes, ensuring consistent and high-quality instruction.
- Plan and deliver lessons for higher-level classes that align with the studio’s mission and values.
- Create a positive and supportive environment where students feel encouraged and valued.
- Help students develop technical skills, creativity, and self-expression.
- Collaborate with other instructors to plan shows, performances, and studio events.
- Build meaningful relationships with students and families to foster a sense of community.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and familiarity with scheduling and project management tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
- Experience or interest in dance, performing arts, or creative industries is a plus but not required.
- Flexible schedule and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a small business environment.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
