Purpose of the Position / Position Overview
The Marketing Coordinator position withMelroc Group, a dynamic Family Office based in Rochester, will support a diverse portfolio of businesses from established industry leaders to cutting-edge startups. The person will be a Brand Ambassador to manage our website and social media presence, amplifying our brand awareness and helping us take the Melroc Group to new heights. It will also oversee the marketing efforts for one of our exciting equipment rental companies that is scaling fast, diving into both strategic and creative marketing initiatives to support the sales efforts and the brand opening in new markets across the Northeast.
As the Marketing Coordinator for the Melroc Group, you will be required to primarily coordinate and execute the companys marketing activities across several markets. You will be responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of omnichannel marketing, advertising and communications, including, but not limited to, the creation of printed collateral, copy writing, social media, event coordination and creation of any other documents or activity related to Marketing and Brand Ambassadorship for Melroc member businesses.
Key Effectiveness Areas / Responsibilities
Brand Ambassadorship
Promote the Melroc Group to networks through social media, website and events
Embody the corporate identity of Melroc Group, to be able to promote its values, ethics and opportunities in its member businesses.
The Brand ambassadors will use their ability to use promotional strategies that will strengthen the customer-product-service relationship.
The Brand ambassador will espouse the Melroc Group methodology of business to support recruitment of aligned key players for member businesses.
Manage the Brand image in the organization, set guidelines and maintain.
Digital Marketing and Communications
Post content, monitor activity, and increase followers on all social media platforms to promote products and the company to end users.
Prepare and write blog articles, case studies for print and online publication.
Collate intelligence and create market and competitor reports.
Review and analyze Melroc and competitor activities, and prepare reports as requested.
Assist in the creation of video content and distribution.
Liaise with the Sales Team and provide marketing support to B2B customers, including the supply of marketing material, publications and product announcements.
Ensure the marketing documents folder is up to date and has an accurate historical record of actioned activities for future reference.
Print Collateral and Promotional Material
Develop marketing collateral (i.e. brochures, price lists, technical data sheets, flyers, internal and external newsletters and display material), including briefing, copywriting, working with graphic designers, proofing, and obtaining approval.
Manage the production and distribution of print marketing collateral, promotional material / gratuities and uniform apparel, including arranging quotes, samples, obtaining approval, managing production and delivery.
Manage stock levels of print and promotional material, including liaising with Customer Service and Logistics teams to fulfil internal and external stock movements.
Wider Marketing Responsibilities
Attend all meetings relevant to marketing activity and keep meeting minutes.
Keep the marketing and project budgets accurate and up to date.
Be a brands champion and ensure global consistency in accordance with brand guidelines and messaging across all channels and countries.
Enter Purchase Orders into Netsuite for all marketing purchases.
General Organizational Duties
Understand and maintain confidentiality relating to all business activities, especially relating to financial details and customer details.
Be accountable for your movements and time.
Understand and maintain correct protocols when interacting with other staff or customers.

Confidentiality is paramount. Any breach of trust will be regarded seriously and addressed in an appropriate manner by senior management. Anyone involved in the Melroc team is required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Qualifications / Selection Criteria
Technical skills
A Marketing / Business degree (desired but not essential).
Knowledge of marketing practices, including briefing, print production, copy writing and driving leads.
Copywriting skills will be advantageous.
Experience managing social media accounts and email marketing.
Competent in MS Office Suite.
