What are the responsibilities and job description for the Road Training Coordinator position at Melton Truck Lines?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help match trainer and trainee based on personality, smoking status, preferences, and training needs.
- Manage logistics of getting trainees onto the trainer truck and make travel arrangements for trainees meeting with their trainer (flights, Ubers, hotel stay, etc.)
- Assist trainees with any issues and ensure trainee has a positive training experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork for trainees.
- Help coordinate truck assignment and location for graduating trainees.
- Assist with reporting and statistical analysis of the training program and recommend new ideas and programs to increase overall success of the department.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. Must have customer service or logistics experience.
Special Training: Must have working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.
Special Skills: Attention to detail and strong communication/problem solving skills a must. The ability to make sound decisions under pressure and the ability to multitask are required.
Physical Demands: It is necessary to talk, hear, sit, walk, type, and write, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Regular onsite job attendance is required to facilitate effective interaction with co-workers and subordinates.
