In this role you will be responsible for the direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Processing Department, coordinating and monitoring all Processing functions.

Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Leads, trains, and supervises all Processing Department employees. Assists with interviewing and hiring of new employees. Develops subordinate skills and encourages growth; performs appraisals and conducts disciplinary action. Prepares monthly incentive pay reports.
- Reviews files to maintain over 60% rating on files to be clear to close within 21 days. Determines and monitors loans to close in order to reach monthly goals.
- Coordinates with the VP of Operations to support credit union mortgage consultants; works with other departments to obtain efficiencies and cohesiveness. Assists with establishing and implementing short-range and long-range departmental goals, as well as policies and operating procedures; set objectives and standards.
- Organizes, manages, and directs daily pipeline activity; monitors and ensures third party orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Fosters quality focus and improves processes and service levels. Ensures highest level of credit union and/or member service. Fields and resolves credit union and/or member questions and complaints in a timely manner.
- Keeps up to date on related laws and regulation changes; communicates to necessary parties. Adheres to all State and Federal regulations.
Experience: Two to three years of Mortgage Loan Processing or related position experience. One to two years in Management role.
Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Other Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of federal lending regulations, including: FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines.
- Understanding of the foundation of underwriting guidelines.
- Experience and knowledge in the mortgage industry.
- Understanding of conventional and government mortgage products.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Solid time management skills to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects within a tight timeframe.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Ability to motivate and inspire. Strong business acumen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and general PC applications.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee must occasionally life and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen, to use hand to finger, to speak in and listen carefully on the telephone.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a remote and/or in office setting.
