The Consumer Lending Operations Manager is responsible for providing internal business partners exceptional member support using technology and streamlined workflows to support the organizations corporate vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrates a strong ability to think independently and provide innovative solutions to advance the consumer lending department. Possesses ability to serve as a project lead for the consumer lending department and liaison between the technology department and the consumer lending department to ensure seamless integrations and rollouts. Requires knowledge of the credit unions lending practices, policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Oversees, manages, and directs the central underwriting and central processing departments of the credit union to provide a consistent member experience and position the credit union as a leader.
- Maintains expert knowledge, and serves as the administrator, of the credit unions loan origination systems and consumer lending platforms as they relate to preapprovals, loan origination, underwriting, credit reporting, and the automated decision matrix.
- Oversees and manages the credit unions indirect manufactured home portfolio. Works with the VP of Consumer Lending to set budget for the portfolio, manages funding to meet or exceed budget, and works with vendor to ensure accuracy of loans and overall safety and soundness of the portfolio.
OTHER QULAIFCIATIONS
Proficiency with loan origination software (e.g. Origence ARC OS) and core banking software (e.g. Fiserv DNA) a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in consumer lending or a variety of lending functions. Management or supervisory experience required. Bachelors degree in business administration, or other related fields of study or equivalent experience.
