Escrow & Cash Processing Specialist

Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Escrow & Cash Processing Specialist is responsible for performing day-to-day duties within the servicing department. Provide professional service to our members, partners, and co-workers. Proactively uphold MMS’s Mission Statement. May assist in the areas indicated listed below.

Essential Functions May Include

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Data Entry.
• Open and sort mail.
• Work with providers and members regarding hazard insurance and flood insurance.
• Verify borrower-paid taxes and insurance, impounding for escrow and force placing insurance where needed.
• Assist as needed with annual escrow analysis.
• Responsible for providing excellent customer services via the phone, email, and web messaging.
• Perform other administrative duties and assignments as required or assigned.

Competencies

• Maintains basic working knowledge of MMS’s products and services.
• Maintain a professional, friendly and helpful relationship with all staff and members.
• Performs all essential job functions and responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
• Observes all MMS guidelines and policies.
• Performs all other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Equivalent to a high school education.
• No experience necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to professionally interact with providers, members and colleagues and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in using computer systems for data entry, document preparation, and communication.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and needs.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand or sit, talk, hear, and operate a computer and telephone.
